Its been a while. I would really like to post as frequently as I like, but I had my hands full of work for the last month. And yes, Starband Troopers 2.0 was what I was working on (mostly)! There are quite a few feedback for us since the launch of Starband Troopers, I must thank all the contributors as I had learned much from you.
In this update, we focused on making a more spontaneous gameplay experience. We felt that there were a lot of downtime during battles and we think a lot of you don’t like waiting, so we had decided to reduce all the cool down time for the instruments so that you will need to do stuff a lot more frequently!
We had also decided to improve our non-damaging effects by prolonging their duration, making them more practical and hopefully seeing them more used.
As the decision making process is more frequent (usually 2-3 seconds in between decisions), we think that introducing delays as form of penalty are now appropriate: the “Ensemble Fatigue” is one such application. From Starband Troopers 2.0, after ensembles are successfully played, the instruments will take longer to recharge as the ensemble take much power from the instruments involved. Every time you want to use an ensemble will make you think about the penalty afterwards, so what will you do?
Last but not least, we had also submitted a new localized build for Starband Troopers, guess which one it is?
Starband Troopers 2.0 and Japanese version『星楽戦隊』will available in coming Easter Holiday!
